Deval Ghosh

Hello! My name is Deval Ghosh, and my journey to becoming a teacher began in grade 8, when I was first introduced to the French language by my inspiring teacher, Ms. Bharucha. Her passion and dedication ignited my desire to follow in her footsteps and become an educator.

I firmly believe that a teacher's role extends beyond the classroom. While imparting knowledge about academic subjects is essential, I see my mission as helping to mold the minds of young students, guiding them to become not just good students, but also good adults and responsible citizens of the world. Critical and independent thinking are skills I strive to instill in my students, teaching them not just what to learn, but how to learn.

Outside of teaching, I have a deep love for plants, acupuncture, and languages. These interests enrich my life and inform my teaching philosophy, providing unique perspectives and methods that I bring into the classroom.

Working with children is a particular joy for me. They bring a unique energy and perspective that makes every day exciting and fulfilling. Watching them grow, develop, and eventually succeed as adults is one of the most gratifying aspects of my career.
